I was definitely weary because this is not a colour I would usually use but I thought I'd venture away from my 'safe' colour which is MAC's matte lipstick Russian Red. I've been very found of browner shades lately but brown is not a shade that would suit me but I think Mehr has a slight brown tint which is perfect. It reminds me of an antique mauve colour. It is definitely a shade that can be worn every day, which is a fantastic advantage (especially when you can't be bothered to put on a red lip).
Swatch:
Once applied (without a lip liner):
I feel as if the shade goes lovely with my pale complexion. I was slightly disappointed by just how pink it looks once applied to the lip, I was hoping for it to look darker. I think if applied with MAC's lip pencil in Chicory it would accentuate the colour of the lipstick perfectly and create the desired shade I am looking for.
I love just how moisturising the lipstick is! I tend to find with matte lipstick that they dry my lips out very quickly but this definitely isn't the case with Mehr. Even without exfoliating my lips before hand it glided on smoothly with leaving any dry and flaky skin.
I feel like this would be a perfect shade for people with a lighter complexion and would definitely be a must have for spring and summer. I feel as if the pros outweigh the cons and I would highly recommend it.
